Daily Gold is completely natural bentonite clay with 60+ naturally occurring trace minerals that benefit horses. Redmond’s bentonite clay was born in the depths of an active volcano. When the volcano erupted, it settled as volcanic ash into an ancient sea and weathered into bentonite clay.
Though there isn’t one particular reason why horses eat dirt, it is a natural activity in moderation. Horses eat small amounts of dirt daily. If they are seeking it out too often, however, they may be looking for clay. Clays contain very absorbent particles which can buffer acid and bind up toxins, certain bacteria, and other potentially harmful substances in the gut. The bound toxins are then removed from the body in the manure. Daily Gold is an effective bentonite clay horse digestive supplement that can reduce dirt eating.
